Authentic connections are what people are seeking.
By having raw videos — real videos of people talking as if they are right here — you are going to generate the most authentic relationships, and you are going to continue to drive up traffic to your business.
We keep finding that people who are imperfect in their video actually drive the deepest connection. If people sound too good, it feels like an advertisement. I do not really trust it. You just have to be authentic.
Walk-and-talk is everyday life with a camera. You put the camera there as part of your day, and you will be surprised at how well these drive sales — because people know you, they want to connect with you, they want to do business with you. It is not even only about your expertise. It is about being there at the moment where they need help with their house, their plumbing, their car, or whatever product or service you sell.
I love the messiness of certain projects. That messiness creates the overall beauty of being able to create content like this. You only need to be good for about fifteen seconds. If a take sucks, press record and do another one. All you need is time and a phone.
Film where you already are. Leave a little wind, a little shake, a little human. Talk to one person who needs help this week — not to “the algorithm.”
